Vince Clarke: teclista e fundador dos Depeche Mode; Alison Moyet: a voz.
Tiveram uma primeira etapa de vida curta, de 1981 a 1983, e editaram dois álbuns de originais.
Vince Clarke iniciou logo depois outra dupla de sucesso, os Erasure (com Andy Bell), e Alison Moyet seguiu carreira a solo com um percurso pontuado por altos e baixos.
Muitos anos depois ocorreu o regresso desta grande dupla synthpop, desde o ano de 2008 até à actualidade.
Boas composições Pop e boas letras de Clarke. Excelente e poderosa a voz de Moyet.
Houve temas de enorme êxito comercial, como as canções “Only You” e “Situation”.
O tema de maior sucesso dos Yazoo foi “Don’t Go”, mas “Nobody’s Diary” também foi um dos Hit-singles deste duo inglês.
