The radio man finally understands and plays you something you can move to. You lay back, cut loose your drive power. Your girl leans over says, “Daddy, can you turn that radio up any louder?”

Seaside Bar Song, 1973

The screen door slams, Mary's dress waves
Like a vision she dances across the porch as the Radio plays
Roy Orbison singing for the lonely
Hey, that's me and I want you only

Thunder Road, 1975

Now there’s something coming through the Air
That softly reminds me
A voice is coming through
So keep me in your heart tonight
So turn up your radio and darling dial me in close
We’re riding on the airwaves
Just let the music take us
And carry us home

There’s a prayer coming through the Air
And it’s shot straight through my heart
Tearing open the evening sky and tearing me apart
Now I’ll ride that signal down the line
I’m home again with you
So turn up your radio
And I’ll save my love for you
Turn up your radio and I’ll save my love for you

Save My Love, 1978

Well I'm feeling might fine
Got good music on my radio
Well, I'm feeling might fine
Got good music on my radio
Well, I want to kiss you baby
While you're standing beneath the mistletoe

Merry Christmas Baby, 1980

In some motel room therell be a radio playing
And you'll hear me sing this song
Well if you do you'll know Im thinking of you and all the miles in between
And Im just calling one last time not to change your mind
But just to say I miss you baby, good luck, goodbye

Bobby Jean, 1984

Message just keep getting clearer, Radio's on and I'm moving round the place
I check my look in the mirror I wanna change my clothes my hair my face
Man I ain't getting nowhere I'm just livin in a dump like this
There's something happening somewhere baby I just know that there is

Dancing in the Dark, 1984

I'm driving in my car, I turn on the radio
I'm pulling you close, you just say no
You say you don't like it, but girl I know you're a liar
Because when we kiss, Fire!

Fire, 1985

I was driving through the misty rain
Yeah searchin' for a mystery train
Boppin' through the wild blue
Tryin' to make a connection with you.
This is radio nowhere, is there anybody alive out there?

Radio Nowhere, 2007
